# 3501  Pal-Mac survives Scare from Livonia-Avon

*+Pal-Mac stepped up in the fourth quarter to defeat Livonia-Avon 4-3.  In a game that was plagued with penalties, the teams both had multiple attempts at extra-man offense.  The Red Raiders converted on two of their attempts while the Lakers could not convert on any of their attempts.  The man-down defense for Pal-Mac was a key factor of their win.

# 3499  Quarters: All Top Seeds Move on Except One

DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - There were 7 games played today and all of them were won by the high seeded teams except for one. In Class C, Livonia-Avon, HFL, and Geneva will join Pal-Mac who had a bye in the quarters. In Class D, Aquinas, Marcus Whitman, Penn Yan and Mynderse won their games. Marcus Whitman (#5) defeated Bloomfield-Honeoye (#4) 10-6.

Haverling at AQNEXT UP for Class C: Livonia-Avon (#4) vs Pal-Mac (#1) and Geneva (#3) vs HFL (#2) on Wednesday.

NEWARK-3 at GENEVA-19 - Geneva extended their winning streak to nine wins (13-4) as nine different players scored goals including Freshman midfielder Alex Pesante who scored his first Varsity goal, sophomore attackman Ryland Dunham (8g), senior midfielder Jeremy Askin (1g-2a), junior midfielder Max Heieck (2g-1a), freshman attackman Jack Dunham (2g-1a), and freshman midfielder Max Delgado (2a). Askin won 15+/1- = 94%, and freshman Alex Pesante won 7+/3- = 70%. Geneva goalie Paul Williams had 7s/3ga = 70% (48 mins). This dispite a three-goal surge by the Pride in just under two minutes in the last quarter took them within two goals. Leading the scoring for Marcus Whitman (8-9) were sophomore midfielder Tariku Blueye (4g), senior midfielder Melkamu Blueye (2g-1a), and senior attackman Teague Gallogly (2g). Facing off for Marcus Whitman was sophomore Cullen Kephart with 9+/8- = 53%. In the goal was sophomore Tyler Speers with 13s/6ga = 68% (48 mins).
