James Sturnick scored in overtime to give McQuaid Jesuit an 8-7 victory at Pittsford. Penfield took a won goal, 9-8 win from Schroeder and Waterloo won a 13-12 game from Mynderse. The rest of the fifteen games in the Section were not so close.

Pittsford played a close game with Brighton for a while, but took control in the fourth quarter and won 13-8 in the cold a windy late afternoon as Pittsford celebrated lacrosse with an all day lacrosse event at Mendon. Brighton was the last undefeated team in Section Five.

It took overtime for the Barons, but Brighton's Nick Wolak scored with 3:23 remaining in overtime to win the battle over visiting Churchville-Chili. Penn Yan played a close one with Section Three's Carthage and won 10-9.
