Penfield senior midfielder Jake Sproule recently announced his verbal commitment to SUNY Cortland Head Coach Steve Beville.

The left hander finished last season with 15g-3a and 19 gbs for the Patriots, who after winning the Class A Sectional Championship, advanced to the NYS final four.

Off season Sproule has played for two years with the Blaze Lacrosse Club. While on the Blaze Elite team he helped win the MVP Tournament at the University of Delaware. He also was named a Brine All American after playing in the Brine National Classic.

Sproule also considered Boston University, Tampa, Stevenson, Salisbury, LeMoyne and Washington College before making his decision to play study and play at Cortland.
