Rising junior Garrett Ruff recently announced his commitment to study and play lacrosse at Cornell University after his graduation for Honeoye Falls-Lima in 2018.

A varsity player for the Cougars since his freshman year, Garrett added 35g-21a last year to his 56g-36a two year totals. For his efforts he was named to the second team midfield (MC-D2) all league list last year. He served as team co-captain and led his team in goal production as a sophomore.

In the off-season Garret has been busy, playing for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Northeast team. He was named a standout player in the 2016 Adrenalin Cup and a stand out player in the 2015 Sweetlax All Star game. He played at Maverik Showtime last summer and was named a stand out player in the all star game for the FLG Maryland Tournament as well.

Before selecting Cornell, he considered Penn, Dartmouth, Lafayette and Colgate.
