![]() After a sucessful run in 2025, BlaxFive.NET is, once again, creating preview articles for each of the teams in Section V. Utilizing extensive databases of statistics and records, along with our proprietary information query program "HAL" and display software "the Oracle," we are employing external AI programs to format the information for presentation. Head coaches have been given the opportunity to review the drafts and add quotes and comments. The articles will be released several times each week leading up to the start of the games in mid-March. They will remain on the front page for approximately one week before being moved to the “News Page” and subsequently archived. Additionally, they will be accessible through a list of “published stories” and from the team pages. We anticipate an exciting year for Section V lacrosse, beginning with these preview articles and culminating in the New York State Lacrosse Championships, which Section V will be hosting at Hobart on June 14th. ![]() Greece Storm Preparing to ReboundRoster TransitionThe program graduated 10 seniors, a group that included midfielders such as Nico Avila and Carter Fabian, defenders like Cameron Miller and Jackson Rohr, and attackmen including Evan Roesser and Steven Villegas.
Several of these graduates earned league honors, leaving notable roles to fill on both ends of the field. Even with those departures, Greece Storm retains 56% of its goals and 60% of its assists from last season. The returning roster features 11 rising seniors, 10 juniors, and one sophomore, giving the team a strong upper-class presence heading into 2026. Returning StandoutsTwo returning players earned league recognition last season and now anchor the team’s experience. Coaching OutlookGreece Storm enters the 2026 season under the steady leadership of Head Coach Shane Cole, who returns for his seventh year guiding the program. Cole brings a 28-54 record at Greece Storm and the same mark as his overall scholastic record. A former Rush-Henrietta player, he continues to shape a roster that blends returning contributors with a large group of rising seniors and juniors. Coach Cole is looking forward to this season. “This group has put in a lot of work all offseason, and we’re excited about the leadership, chemistry, grit, and competitiveness they’re bringing into this year. We feel confident in our strong presence at the faceoff X, Statistical OverviewGreece Storm scored 57 goals in 2025, averaging 3.4 per game, while allowing 243 goals at an average of 14.3. Two games were decided by five goals or fewer, including one single-goal win. The team earned three victories overall, with one coming in league play. With more than half of its scoring returning, the team has a foundation to build upon as it looks to improve its Games This YearThe 2026 schedule includes several MC1 league matchups. League games this season are set against Hilton (03/24), Fairport (04/10), Penfield (04/21), East United-Eastridge (04/29), and Rush-Henrietta (05/05). The remaining contests are non-league matchups, including meetings with Geneva, Wayne, Schroeder, Eden, Gates Chili, Brockport, and Brighton. Looking AheadWith a large group of rising seniors, two returning award-winners, and a veteran coach entering his seventh season, Greece Storm approaches 2026 with a clearer sense of identity. The returning offensive share and experienced defensive leadership offer a platform for growth as the team works to climb within Class A.

Evan Baldwin, a 2026 LSM, recorded 2 goals and 1 assist and earned All-League Second Team Defense (MC-d1). His defensive presence and ability to push transition play make him a key returning piece. Eric Odell, a 2026 midfielder and faceoff specialist, posted 3 goals and 1 assist while going 201+/111- at the X. He earned All-League Honorable Mention FO Midfield (MC-d1) and has announced his college commitment to Clarkson, giving the team a proven leader in the midfield.
