Leading the charge for HFL was Grady Goodberlet with seven goals and three assists, supported by Marco Vengoechea with two goals and five assists. HFL goalies Jason Bennett and Jackson Blythe combined for 11 saves. Livonia-Avon-Geneseo got two late goals from Will Schweitzer and Max McEnerney, with goalie Colton Rose making 17 saves. Eden won a non-league game against Greece Storm with a score of 18-4. Greece Storm's scorers were Michael Atseff III, Eric Odell, Evan Baldwin, and Evan Roesser, while Odell won 17 of 20 faceoffs. DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - There were ten games played today in generally wet weather, with three featuring nail-biting finishes. Grand Island edged out Schroeder, securing a 10-8 victory behind strong performances from Cody Preston and Van Bolton in goal. JD held off Victor for a hard-fought 9-7 win, maintaining control despite a late push from Victor’s offense. Meanwhile, Wayne narrowly defeated Mynderse-Romulus 14-13 in an FL-D1 league battle, with standout scoring from Tas Strickland and a clutch performance by eighth-grade goalie Gavin Hamel.
