Canandaigua Wins with Seven Goal-Scorers
April 29, 2026 - CANANDAIGUA-14 at BROCKPORT-2 - Canandaigua beat Brockport 14-2 Wednesday evening in a Monroe County D-3 game, moving to 5-6. The Grey Wolves scored 12 consecutive goals over the first three quarters before Brockport found the net twice in the fourth. Seven different players scored for Canandaigua, with junior defenseman Ronan Hitchcock and sophomore Conner Morse of Brockport each recording notable firsts — Hitchcock his first career varsity goal and Morse his first career varsity assist.
AJ Sterman, Landon Mortier and Ryan McKeegan each scored three goals to pace Canandaigua, with Sterman adding two assists, Mortier two assists and McKeegan one. Senior Patrick Olvany contributed one goal and four assists, Kyle Farrington added two goals, and Shane Cooke and Hitchcock each scored one. Junior Peyton Fritz went eight for nine on faceoffs. In goal, senior Quentin Shedrick was perfect with three saves in 22 minutes, and junior Lucas Wyand added six saves on eight shots (75%) over 26 minutes.
For Brockport, Ryan Miller and Jaxon Ophardt each scored one goal, with Tyler Davis and Morse adding assists. In goal, freshman Owen Perkins made 14 saves on 28 shots (50%) over 48 minutes. Brockport falls to 6-4.
Canandaigua travels to Penfield on Friday evening. Brockport travels to East United-Eastridge on Friday evening.
