Irondequoit Takes Churchville-Chili

April 29, 2026 - IRONDEQUOIT-14 at CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-3  - Irondequoit beat Churchville-Chili 14-3 Wednesday evening in a Monroe County D-3 game, moving to 7-4. The night featured three first career varsity scores — sophomore Matt Long and junior TJ Mayer each scored their first career varsity goal for Irondequoit, and Churchville-Chili's sophomore Nate St Lucia scored his first as well. Sophomore goalie Colin Landrigan also reached 100 career saves, finishing with 11 on the night (79%).

Sophomore Kieran Stenzel led Irondequoit with four goals and two assists, while senior Dylan Carey contributed one goal and five assists. Senior Colin Giudice added two goals and two assists, freshman Liam West and senior Doug Velepec each scored two goals, and Long, Mayer and Tyler Cooper each added one. Sophomore Matt Long went 10 for 15 on faceoffs.

For Churchville-Chili, eighth grader David Donaghue, St Lucia and senior Jaxon Leonard each scored one goal, with senior Isaac Bailey adding an assist. Churchville-Chili falls to 4-6.

Irondequoit hosts Gates Chili on Tuesday evening, May five. Churchville-Chili travels to Rush-Henrietta on Friday evening.
