FCA set for Regional Tryouts on Dec 2nd
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is ready for their 2013 team tryouts which will be held on Sunday December 2nd. The tryouts will be held at the Total Sports Experience in Rochester from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Wednesday: Quarter Finals: Two Upsets
The tournament continued today with the quarter final rounds in which two number 5 seeds upset number four seeds. Canandaigua beat McQuaid Jesuit (9-6) and Pal-Mac beat Aquinas (12-8).

Tuesday: Two Overtime Games and One Last Second Win
There were sixteen games played in the Section today and a number of very exciting ones including a 7-6 win for Fairport over Penfield with no time left on the clock. Haverling took Aquinas in double overtime and Marcus Whitman beat Mynderse in the first overtime period.

Saturday: Spencerport has OT win over Brockport
With only one week left in the regular season, there were ten games played today in Section Five. In out of Section contest, Rush-Henrietta beat Lancaster (Section 6), Schroeder lost to Clarence (17-5).

Tuesday: Pittsford Remains Undefeated
It was a long awaited match up and at the last moment, moved from Pittsford Mendon to St. John Fisher College, where the stands were nearly full. The Panthers scored five unanswered goals in the fourth quarter for secure a 9-4 win over Fairport.

Wednesday: R-H wins in Overtime
Rush Henrietta scored the final three goals of regulation to force overtime where senior Torry Whitcher scored the game winning goal only 0:50 into the first overtime period and secured the 14-13 win over Gates-Chili.

Thursday: Fairport takes Penn Yan 9-8, Hilton over CA
In a a close game at Penn Yan, Fairport held off an late attack and beat the Mustangs 9-8. Hilton scored five goals in the final quarter to come back and defeat Canandaigua 13-12.

Tuesday: Eleven Cancellations - One Game
Eleven games were cancelled throughout the afternoon, some at noon and some at the field. Penn Yan got a whole 1:05 into their game with Baldwinsville, and was in the lead (1-0) before they had to given in to the weather. There must have been a sunny patch in Chili as Churchville-Chili beat Gates Chili 16-4.

Thursday: It is Cold out There and AQ beats Thomas
Aquinas and Webster Thomas played a close game, with the Little Irish winning 8-7 at McAvoy Park. Pittsford beat Penfield 12-2, Geneva beat Marcus Whitman (13-3) and East Rochester was a 21-3 winner over Bishop Kearney.

Tuesday: Eagles Fall, Canandaigua over Geneva in OT
Duxbury used a third quarter flurry of goals to nail down a 10-7 victory over Irondequoit this morning. Geneva posted five goals late in the game but lost in overtime to Canandaigua (11-10) and Penn Yan defeated Lakeland/Panas 8-5 this afternoon.

Thursday: 13 Games Today: Most a Lot to a Little
here were thirteen games today in Section Five and a large number of games were lop-sided. Winners by big margin included Fairport, Pittsford, Penfield, Penn Yan, Geneva and Pal-Mac.

Tuesday: Pittsford over Irondequoit
Perhaps the most exciting game of the day was at Irondequoit tonight, where Pittsford kept their winning streak alive with a 13-11 win over the Eagles.

Saturday: Lots of Surprising Results
There were lots of unexpected results today, as teams started to make statements. Thomas was a decisive winner over Canandaigua, Victor beat R-H, The Lightning beat the Thunder by one goal in a "Storm Game".

Thursday: Brockport over ER by One, Pittsford Takes OP
Pittsford traveled to Orchard Park (Section Six, Buffalo) where the Panthers and the Quakers played great defense, took home a 4-2 victory. Brockport overcame their deficit and scored the winning goal, late in the game as the Blue Devils beat ER 10-9.

Saturday: Rush-Henrietta over CA, Irondequoit Wins
There were a number of exciting games played on the second Saturday of the season. Rush-Henrietta defeated Canandaigua 9-6, Irondequoit beat Ithaca 13-10, Penn Yan just made it by Pal-Mac 10-9 and the Lightning won their game against ER in overtime.

Thursday: Churchville over Schroeder in a Close One
Of the "West-Side" team, the Saints of Churchville-Chili have been a team on the move, and made an early season statement with a 10-9 win over Webster Schroeder tonight at McAvoy park in Irondequoit.

2010 Preview: Gates Chili
During their first season in Monroe County Division I, the Spartans finished 0-6 in league and 3-13 overall. Gates Chili was seeded twelfth in the tournament; however, they defeated higher seeded Brockport 9-7 to make it into the quarter finals where they lost to Schroeder.

2011 Senior All Star Game this Saturday
The Rochester Chapter of USLacrosse has announced the 2011 Senior All Star Game selections. This year's contest, featuring some of the best of the graduating seniors will be held on Saturday, June 18th at Sahlen Stadium.

The All Star list is out recognizing the Monroe County League players for the 2010 season. Senior attackmen Brendan Saylor (Fairport) and Jack Hinderland (Thomas), senior goalie Nick King (Canandaigua) and Joe Dupra (Pittsford) were selected as USLAcrosse All Americans.

There were fifteen games in Section Five today, as the regular season is winding down. Fairport hosted Pittsford and defeated the Panthers 13-5. Penfield defeated visiting Penn Yan 9-6, East Rochester beat Spencerport 11-10 and Bloomfield-Honeoye beat Mynderse 15-14.

Thursday: McQuaid over Pittsford in OT
James Sturnick scored in overtime to give McQuaid Jesuit an 8-7 victory at Pittsford. Penfield took a won goal, 9-8 win from Schroeder and Waterloo won a 13-12 game from Mynderse. The rest of the fifteen games in the Section were not so close.

Tuesday: Penfield and Aquinas both win one goal games
The ' Lil Irish came back, late in the fourth quarter to force overtime where they defeated Haverling-Haverling in overtime this afternoon at Aquinas. Penfield held off a fired-up Rush-Henrietta and won their game 13-12 in regulation.

Friday: Penfield and Irondequoit win today
Penfield scored the first seven goals on their way to an 18-4 win at Gates Chili tonight. In the other Friday night contest, Irondequoit beat visiting HFL 9-5.

Tuesday: Eastridge wins in Double Overtime
There were fifteen games played today in Section Five, a couple of close ones but mostly mismatches. Eastridge won their first game of the season using double overtime to defeat the Thunder 11-10. East Rochester beat Newark 8-7. All the other games were won by six goals.

Penn Yan, currently ranked first in the SportsFive Class C list and Aquinas, currently ranked second played tonight at Aquinas with the Mustangs winning 14-6. Of the other thirteen games played today all were won by five or more and seven were won by ten or more.

A strong fourth quarter gave McQuaid Jesuit an 8-7 win over Penn Yan. James Sturnick dodged across the middle for the winning goal. In other action HFL defeated Churchville-Chili 9-8, Spencerport beat the Thunder 9-7, Pal-Mac won a 9-8 game with Midlakes.

Sixteen games but three went to double overtime. HF-L beat Schroeder 8-7, Pittsford beat Thomas 13-12 and McQuaid Jesuit beat Livonia 7-6, each in the second overtime period.

Thirteen games were played in Section Five today. Fairport was a 15-6 winner over visiting Thomas and Pittsford defeated visiting Irondequoit 11-5. In other action Livonia won their game with Haverling in overtime, McQuaid Jesuit beat Aquinas 13-8 and Churchville-Chili beat Hilton in a close one (9-7).
