Annual Senior Games Teams
It's the last game for some Section Five seniors as they play in one of the Seniors Games on Tuesday, June 12th at Irondequoit High School. The Class B/C teams will play at 6:00 pm and the Class A teams will play at 7:30 pm.

Monroe County D-2 Awards - 2007
The All Star list is out recognizing the Monroe County League players for the 2007 season. Senior attackman Grant Catalino (Schroeder), goalie Zach Nash (Irondequoit) and midfelder Tom Rynn (Fairport) were selected as USLAcrosse All Americans. Senior attackman, Mike Danylyshyn from Fairport was selected by the Monroe County coaches as the 2007 USLacrosse Academic All American.

Tuesday - Schroeder over Penfield by One
In the last week of the regular season, the MC league is nearly finished and there was lots of action today. Winners included Fairport, Schroeder, Spencerport, Eastridge, Irondequoit, Churchville, Hilton, Brockport, Newark, Waterloo, Livonia, Geneva and Canandaigua.

There were twelve games scheduled for Thursday and a number of games ended with lopsided scores. Among the winners today were Hilton, R-H, Thomas, Schroeder, C-C, GC, Geneva, Penn Yan Victor and Newark

Wednesday: Hilton Sets Team Record
Hilton posted its sixth win in a season with their 3-2 game with Brighton. Brockport was a 9-4 winner over HFL and Canandaigua, Livonia and McQuaid Jesuit won their games on Wednesday.

Saturday - CA, Fairport, Irondequoit Win
Canandaigua was a decisive winner over Penn Yan today. Fairport beat Corning East 10-3, Schroeder won the cross town game and Irondequoit remained undefeated with a win over Gates Chili today. Other winners included Eastridge, Brighton, R-H, C-C, Penfield and AQ .

Although the high profile Schroeder-Irondequoit game was cancelled (date to be determined), there were eleven other games were played with several very close ones.

Penn Yan falls in OT
Lafayette scored two goals in the last few minutes of the game and then scored the game winner in the second over time period to give the Section 3 team a 10-9 victory over host Penn Yan. In other games on Friday, Irondequoit remained undefeated with a 7-2 win over C-C, Hilton was a 19-5 winner over Ath/Ody and Aquinas was a 15-8 winner over Eastridge.

Although a number of games were cancelled or moved, seven games were played on home fields in unusual bright sunshine and warm weather.

Six games were scheduled for Saturday. Penfield, Hilton, Thomas, McQuaid Jesuit and Carthage were among the winners. No report was received for the Mynderse/Hamilton game.

Full Schedule - 16 Games Saturday
Fairport played another overtime game today, winning this time in two over time periods against Penfield, 9-8. Two games featured Head Coach brother against brother. Craig Whipple beat his brother Andrew as Irondequoit was the 8-4 winner over Pittsford and Tom MacMillan beat brother Mark as HFL was the 10-5 winner over Brighton.

Tuesday: Penfield and Rush Win
Penfield played a close game with Schroeder and was the 11-9 winner. Rush Henrietta also won an 11-9 victory, there game against host Irondequoit.

Saturday: Schroeder over Irondequoit
Most games played today were not close ones, but the Schroeder vs Irondequoit was anyone's game until the end, Midlakes beat Mynderse by one goal and Churchville was the Chili winner on Saturday.

Tuesday: Fairport over Schroeder
Unlike the first game, this time Fairport took control early in the game, ending the first quarter with a 6-2 lead and ending the game at 13-7.

Thursday: Eastridge wins in the Fourth
Eastridge scored three goals in the fourth to win a 9-7 victory over Spencerport, while the rest of the games posted scores that were not as close.

Saturday: Some Close Ones
With the exception of one make up game, Saturday was "Non-League" Day in Section Five. Penn Yan beat Schroeder 8-7 and Orchard Park beat Fairport 10-9. Surprises came in the form of Canandaigua over Irondequoit 15-3 and Rush-Henrietta over Victor 9-5.
