Wayne Games This YearWayne’s 2026 schedule again features a blend of league and non-league matchups. League games, designated as FLE contests, include meetings with Pal-Mac, Livonia-Avon-Geneseo, Geneva, and Newark. Those games will serve as key benchmarks within league play. The remaining schedule consists of NL games against familiar opponents such as Churchville-Chili, HFL, Schroeder, Greece Storm, Midlakes, and Marcus Whitman, offering continued opportunities for evaluation and growth. Looking AheadWith a deep returning class and multiple All-League performers back in the lineup, Wayne enters the season focused on consistency and progression. # 3920 Wayne Over Bloomfield-Honeoye Wayne rallied after a slow start to defeat Bloomfield-Honeoye 19-9 in a non-league matchup. Mason Michel led Wayne with six goals and three assists, and eighth-grade goalie Gavin Hamel posted a 68% save rate with 19 saves. Bloomfield-Honeoye’s leading scorer was Brayden Arber with four goals and three assists. Wayne extended its win streak over Bloomfield-Honeoye to 13 games and will enter the Class C tournament as the number 4 seed, while Bloomfield-Honeoye secured the number 3 seed in Class D. |

The awards identify some of the best players from each area around the country. Each of the head coaches in the Section is allowed to vote on each of the awards. The selections from our area were then submitted to the USA Lacrosse for final approval. |

# 3410 Week in Review - Week 10 There twenty-five tournament games played last week. There were seventy-two out of section games scheduled they all have been played. Section V teams won 43 and lost 29 (60%). There are no teams that are undefeated at this point. |

# 3050 Wayne Excited to be Back on the Field Wayne is a respected program in the Finger Lakes and in Class C as they have seen continual growth in the program in the last few years. Although they were finalist in the Sectional tournament in 2018 and 2019, they have be unable to bring home the block. There have been several close games against Geneva so it is clear that the Eagles can win against the Panthers. |

# 1569 Section 5 Senior All Star Game- 2004 The Expectional Senior "All Star" game, previously scheduled for East Rochester will be held on Tuesday, June 8th, 2004 starting with the Girls Game at 5:00pm followed by the Boys Game at 7:00pm at McQuaid Jesuit Jesuit High School. Coaches from all three leagues have selected the following seniors representing each of the Section Five teams. Teams will be formed at the site. # 1567 Monroe County League List for 2004 Announced The County coaches recently announced the list of all stars for 2004. Penfield defenseman, Dan Clay and Pittsford midfielder, R.J. Lamontagne were named to the All America team. Rush-Henrietta senior midfielder, Joe Malach was name Academic All American. |
# 1561 Saturday: It will be Canandaigua and Penfield Canandaigua took a 6-2 halftime lead and beat Fairport 10-4 in the first game of the semifinals. In the second game, however, Penfield needed an overtime goal by junior middie, Mike Thon to beat Irondequoit, 10-9 and advance to the finals. |

A former high school player at Irondequoit, Hanss has overseen steady roster development and guided the program through consecutive competitive seasons. With much of the lineup returning, continuity on the sideline pairs with familiarity on the field.
Class C All-Tournament Team honors along with All-League First Team Midfield recognition. Tucker Eaton also returns after posting 22 goals and 13 assists and earning All-League Second Team Midfield honors. Wayne brings back multiple All-League defenders and midfielders, including Owen Raleigh, Cuyler Ruffell, and Ben Dodds. Gavin Hamel returns in goal after recording 180 saves last season. More depth comes along with players like Nick Caine, Ben Carbone, Cody Crandell, Ben Dodds, Brady Flynn, Owen Raleigh, Cuyler Ruffell, and Stone Sozio, all of whom earned All-League recognition at their respective positions.
