# 3940 Wayne Advances After Win Against Lakers Wayne overcame an early deficit to defeat Livonia-Avon-Geneseo 11-7 in the Section V Quarterfinals. Mason Michel led the way with four goals and one assist, while Shane Coleman contributed three goals and five assists. Livonia-Avon-Geneseo was led by Rider VanZandt with three goals and two assists. In goal, Wayne's Gavin Hamel recorded nine saves with a 56% save rate, and Livonia-Avon-Geneseo's Colton Rose posted 15 saves at 58%. A former high school player at Irondequoit, Hanss has overseen steady roster development and guided the program through consecutive competitive seasons. With much of the lineup returning, continuity on the sideline pairs with familiarity on the field.
