There were no upsets in the Section Five tournaments in the out bracket rounds as the higher seeded teams won in each case. Mynderse had a close one with Livonia, winning 10-9 in overtime.

In a game that see-sawed back and forth, Thomas scored the winning goal in overtime to defeat Pittsford 12-11. On the other end of town Penfield defeated Schroeder by a goal in the last minute of the game.

The Greece Thunder was a one goal winner over Brockport in the closest game of the day. Irondequoit had a 13-7 win over Penfield and Wayne took Waterloo.

Gananda ruined Wayne`s undefeated season with a one goal win (10-9) on this last Saturday of the regular season. Brockport took a one goal win from Eastridge and Brighton was a 9-6 winner over visiting Lightning.

There were sixteen games played today as the regular season is starting to wind down. Pittsford came from behind to beat host Corning 8-7 in the closest game of the day. Thomas took Irondequoit by two (12-10) and Gananda beat Mynderse 11-8.

Five games were played on Monday. Avon beat Batavia 8-4 and Wayne beat the Thunder 12-7. Other winners were Pal-Mac over Geneva. Brockport over Newark and Canandaigua over McQuaid Jesuit.

The greatly anticipated contest between Victor and Pittsford was resolved, at least at this point, tonight when Victor overcame a 4-2 halftime deficit and scored seven goals in the second half to beat the Panthers 9-6.

Greece Arcadia/Olympia scored six out of seven straight goals to secure their 10-6 win over Brockport. The game was close for the first two quarters before the Lightning opened up their scoring in the late second/early third quarters. Quinton Caleb score the opening goal of the contest for the Blue Devils with an assist from Austin Myers. Myers finished with a team leading 1g-2a. Caleb led the Blue Devils in shots with 10 (4 on cage).

Greece Athena/Odyssey held off a late advance from Brockport to defeat the Blue Devils 10-9. The Thunder led by four with 5:09 remaining in the game before Brockport scored three goals in under two minutes. They could not tie the game in the final 2:53 to force overtime.

Greece Athena/Odyssey scored four of the last five goals to defeat Brockport 11-10. The Thunder had trailed since the mid-portion of the second quarter before their scoring run took off in the fourth quarter. Brockport was held scoreless for 13 minutes at the end of the third and beginning of the fourth quarters.
