Mead's Six Goals Lead Victor Past Canandaigua

VICTOR-14 at CANANDAIGUA-7 - Victor picked up a 14-7 non-league win at Canandaigua on Wednesday evening, overcoming three ties in the first half with a run of eight straight goals that put the game away. Victor improves to 5-1 while Canandaigua falls to 1-4.

For Victor (5-1), junior Jackson Mead led with six goals and one assist, while junior Matthew Herendeen added three goals and two assists. Sophomore Eli Ricci contributed two goals and two assists while going 21-for-24 at the faceoff dot (88%). Will Johnson, Lincoln Snyder, and Oliver Kowal each added one goal. Junior Will Simpson stopped 13 shots for a 68% save percentage in 45 minutes.

For Canandaigua (1-4), junior Ryan McKeegan led with four goals and one assist, while junior AJ Sterman added two goals and junior Marshall Bolster chipped in one goal. Senior Quentin Shedrick reached 100 career saves, stopping 11 shots to push his total to 103.
