Geneva Stays Unbeaten

GENEVA-18 at NEWARK-1 - Geneva stayed undefeated at 7-0 Thursday night with an 18-1 tournament win over Newark, with nine different players finding the net for the Panthers.

Senior attackman Ryland Dunham paced Geneva with four goals and three assists, while junior attackman Jack Dunham added two goals and six assists. Senior attackman Ben Budgar contributed three goals and an assist, and midfielder Owen Devaney chipped in three goals. Senior defensive midfielder Jeffrey Castro-Anderson scored the first two varsity goals of his career. Seventh-grader Nick Mateo Jr. won 13 of 18 faceoffs (72%), and junior Liam Kivimaki added three wins in five tries (60%). Junior goalie Owen Marquart made five saves and allowed just one goal for an 83% efficiency rate.

For Newark (0-8), junior midfielder Evan Shulla scored the lone goal, and freshman Tyler Urban picked up his first career varsity assist on the play.
