Marcus Whitman Takes Newark
Although the game was close for a half, Marcus Whitman outscored Newark 8-2 in the second half in their 11-3 victory. The Wildcats were led in scoring by Tyler Wolfe with 3g-4a. Attackman Matt Hall added three goals. Face off midfielder Lane Brown finished at 58% at the face-off draw and with a team leading six ground balls. Goalie Merritt Bailey and defenseman Pat Hall added five ground balls each.
For the Reds, Dylan Yatteau finished with 1g-1a to lead. Newark goalie, Conor Tickner, finished with eight saves. Defenseman Evan Corteville finished with seven ground ball and six takes. Corteville had a number of impressive take-aways during the contest. Teddy Collins and Devin Lewis each finished with five ground balls for Newark.
