Early Signing

Two player from Section Five signed NCAA "Letter's of Intent" during the fall "Early Signing Period", according to a posting from "Lacrosse USA".

Penn Yan Academy midfielders Brice Queener was signed by Georgetown and Ken Mayville signed with Penn State.

According to a release from Georgetown, "Queener was an All-American at Penn Yan last season. He was named All-County the last two seasons and was the Most Valuable Player in the Section Five Tournament."

Mayville, a first team All (Finger Lakes) league team pick, was one of 8 players signing with PSU during the fall signing period. He will be joining other players from Section Five who are already playing with the Lions, including Senior Sean Huss (Irondequoit), Junior Will Driscoll (Fairport), Sophomore Matt Zappia (Canandaigua) and Greg Hale (Pittsford).

Although the Penn Yan duo will play together this spring, they will play against each other in 2002 as both Georgetown and Penn State are members of the ECAC.
