The first New York State Sportswriters Association Poll is out and Section Five has ten teams making the list.
  
Penfield takes top honors in Class A while, not unexpectidly, West Genesee tops the list. In Class B, the list has Aquinas as an Honorable Mention (Note: Aquinas is a Class C team not B) and Huntington (Section 11) tops the B List. In Class C, Penn Yan tops the list of Section Five teams with LaFayette taking top honors in the State.
