The week number five state poll is out today and eleven Section Five teams make the list sponsored by the New York State Sportswriters Association.

In Class A, Fairport hold at number 10 and Pittsford moves up from number 16 to number 12.

In Class B, Canandaigua moves from number 1 to number 4. Thomas moves from honorable mention. Brighton drops from number 12 to number 15 while McQuaid Jesuit and Irondequoit make Honorable Mention this week.

In Class C, Penn Yan remains at number 9 and Aquinas moves up from number 13 to number 12 while Palmyra-Macedon and Geneva are on the Honorable Mention list.

The top spots in week five is an all Long Island program with West Islip (Section 11) in Class A, Comsewogue (Section 11) in Class B and Manhasset (Section 8) in Class C.
