Canandaigua senior midfielder , Nick Johnson recently announced his decision to study and play lacrosse at the College of St. Rose in Albany.

Starting his third year with the Canandaigua Varsity team, he hopes to build on his success last summer with the Sweetlax Lacrosse Club. He played in the Baltimore Kick Off, Long Island Lax Fest and Sweetlax Invitational tournament last summer.

Before choosing St. Rose, Nick also considered Alfred, Utica and Morrisville.

The St. Rose Golden Knights are an NCAA Division II team playing in the Northeast Ten league. There are currently four Section Five players on their roster. Evan Helming (Canandaigua) is a senior, Preston Herbst (Canandaigua) is a freshman, Connor Moore (Canandaigua) is a sophomore and Liam Guiton (Penfield) is a freshman goalie.
