Senior defenseman/LSM Cory Mason has announced his decision to attend and play lacrosse at Mercyhurst University after his graduation from Victor High School next spring.

After helping the Victor Blue Devils win the Class B Championship last spring, Cory played for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Northeast Summer 2014 Gold Team. He also participated in the Lehigh tournament, The Philly Classic, Summer Clash and Capital Clash. He also helped at the Northeast FCA camp at Roberts Wesleyan last summer.

Mercyhurst University is an NCAA Division II team playing in the ECAC. The Lakers are a hotbed for Section Five players with ten on the 2015 roster. The Head Coach, Chris Ryan (Irondequoit), has a current career record of 165-38 and led the Lakers for a national championship in 2011.
