After spending his eighth grade and freshman year with the Lightning Varsity, current sophomore goalie Gavin Catalano announced this week that he has made a verbal commitment to St. John`s University (New York City) after his graduation from Arcadia in 2017.

With a fifty-six percent save record in his freshman year, Gavin has 188 saves (830 mins) as he enters his sophomore year at Greece Arcadia/Olympia.

Last summer he was named to the Inside Lacrosse Invitational All Star Team. He played for the SweetLax Lacrosse Club last summer, playing in the Baltimore Kick Off, Long Island Lax Fest, Legacy and Sweetlax Invitational tournaments.

The Red Storm plays in the Big East Conference, under Head Coach Jason Miller who has coached there for eight full seasons. He played his high school lacrosse for Pittsford and then played for Springfield College.
