Canandaigua junior defenseman Eric Platten recently announced his verbal commitment to continue his education and play lacrosse at Yale University. He received an All League Honorable Mention award in his freshman year. Eric started playing lacrosse in Canandaigua in third grade and has also played club lacrosse for FCA on the 2022 Navy Team for the last six years.

The Yale Bulldogs are an NCAA Division 1 team playing in the Ivy League Conference. Current Section Five alumni who have played for the Bulldogs include T.D. Ierlan (Victor), Brady McDermott (Brighton) and Ben Reeves (Pal Mac).
