All Americans – 2000-2009

[Editor: Right from the beginning, it is important to understand that from 2005 to 2021 there were over 7,700 student-athletes playing varsity lacrosse in Section V. It is not an unreasonable to estimate that there have been more than twice that number since 1922.  Since 1971 there have been 208 All-Americans. SO… Please understand that as we remember SOME of the great players from the past, we will surely miss some of your favorites!  -- If you want to add your thoughts, go to Lax Lines and post them there.]

In the earliest years, there were only 199 All-Americans for the whole country, so the number in each area that played was small. Monroe County and Finger Lakes teams shared the number of awards and picked their own winners. More recently, the number of awards is based on the number of teams playing and the coaches from the whole section vote on players from the whole section.
