Sam Lopez Selects Ithaca

player photoAfter considering the University of Tampa and St. John Fisher College and Springfield, Irondequoit senior defenseman Sam Lopez has decided to continue his education and play lacrosse at Ithaca College.

A ten year lacrosse player, Sam was an important part of last year's New York State finalist team and this year serves as a Captain for the Eagles. Over the summer he was on the Brine National team that won the Brogden Cup. He played for the Rising senior team and was named to the All-Star team at the Lake Erie Tournament.

Sam chose Ithaca because of its academics and excellence in lacrosse. He was impressed by Head Coach Jeff Long, also a product of the Irondequoit program. He hopes to major in Business after finishing his senior year with the Eagles.
