Rush-Henrietta Looks to Rise

Rush-Henrietta enters the 2026 season following a 7-11 campaign and returns a large share of its offensive production. The program graduated 11 seniors, including attackmen R=HJustin Bonanza, Jackson Koppers, and Cole Flannery, midfielders Liam Connelly and Aiden Harrod, and defenders such as Ryan Vacanti, Kaleb Condello, Devin McGhee, and Gavin Taylor. Goalie Daniel Schmitz also graduated after an All-League Second Team season. Even with those departures, the Royal Comets retain 86% of their goals and 84% of their assists, giving the team a strong returning core. The roster includes seven rising seniors, eleven juniors, and one sophomore, providing a solid mix of experience and youth.

Returning Standouts

Rush-Henrietta brings back several award-winning players who will shape the team’s identity in 2026.

Andrew Coleman, a 2026 attackman, returns after a 39-goal, 21-assist season and earned All-League Second Team Attack (MC-d1) and Section 5 All-Tournament Team honors.Preston Jackson, a 2026 midfielder and faceoff specialist, posted 23 goals and 5 assists while going 82+/33- at the X, earning All-League Honorable Mention FO Midfield (MC-d1). Dominic Mariano, a 2026 defender committed to Canisius, earned All-League First Team Defense (MC-d1) after contributing 2 goals, 1 assist, and faceoff work. Brayden Towner, a 2027 attackman, returns after a 21-goal, 20-assist season and All-League Honorable Mention Attack (MC-d1) recognition. Ronin Walker, a 2026 midfielder, produced 14 goals and 23 R=Hassists and earned All-League Second Team Midfield (MC-d1). Zachary Winner, a 2028 midfielder, added 35 goals and 8 assists and earned All-League Honorable Mention Midfield (MC-d1).

Coaching Information

Rush-Henrietta begins a new chapter under Head Coach Sam Hillmon, who enters his first season leading the program. Hillmon is stepping into a roster that returns a strong offensive core and multiple award-winning players. “I am lucky I am stepping into a head coach role with a team that I am very familiar with. We are already a family, and we will be working hard all season to show that on the field.”

Statistical Overview

Rush-Henrietta scored 173 goals last season, averaging 9.6 per game, while allowing 182 goals at an average of 10.1. R=HFive games were decided by five goals or fewer, including one one-goal win. With a high percentage of scoring returning and several experienced contributors back, the Royal Comets enter 2026 with a solid statistical base.

Games This Year

The 2026 schedule includes several MC1 league matchups. League games are set against East United-Eastridge (03/24), Hilton (04/10), Fairport (04/21), Penfield (04/29), and Greece Storm (05/05). Other contests include non-league meetings with Brighton, Lancaster, Canisius, Thomas, Aquinas, Schroeder, Spencerport, Churchville-Chili, Gates Chili, and McQuaid Jesuit.
