Flaum Reaches 50 Goals as Brighton Tops Pal-Mac

BRIGHTON-14 at PAL-MAC-10 - Brighton picked up a 14-10 non-league win at Pal-Mac on Thursday evening, scoring seven goals in the second quarter to take control after a close first quarter. The win gives Brighton a 2-1 all-time edge against Pal-Mac.

For Brighton (6-1), sophomore Austin Flaum led with four goals and two assists, reaching 50 career varsity goals with 51 total. Senior Ben Marangola added three goals and one assist, and junior Tim Tourangeau contributed two goals and two assists. Senior Gavin Hayslip added one goal and two assists, picking up his first varsity assist, and Red Wolk chipped in two goals and one assist. Hayslip went 17-for-27 at the faceoff dot (63%).

For Pal-Mac (4-2), junior Jackson Dennie and sophomore Max Hill each led with three goals and one assist, while senior Brandon Dennie added one goal and three assists and junior Branden Thomas contributed two goals and one assist. Junior Drew Ikewood reached 200 career saves in goal, stopping eight shots to push his total to 206.
