Coach Torrelli Earns 275th Win for Raiders
FAIRPORT-16 at RUSH-HENRIETTA-6 - Fairport picked up a 16-6 Monroe County D-1 win at Rush-Henrietta on Tuesday evening, scoring five goals in each of the first two quarters to build a commanding lead. Nine different players scored for the Red Raiders, and the win gave head coach Mike Torrelli his 275th career victory at Fairport.
For Fairport (4-4), senior Jack Gosiewski led with four goals and one assist, while senior Ryan Priddy added two goals and three assists and sophomore Marco Provenzano contributed two goals and one assist. Sophomore Alex Nadelen chipped in two goals, and sophomore Travis Haberer and freshman CJ Trumble each added one goal and one assist, with Haberer scoring his first varsity goal and picking up his first varsity assist. Junior Luke Ninfo also scored his first varsity goal. Senior Corey Roeser went 11-for-12 at the faceoff dot (92%). Sophomore Luke Temple stopped six shots for a 55% save percentage in 40 minutes.
From the scoring table, Rush-Henrietta (3-6) got three goals from Preston Jackson and two from Ronin Walker, with Brayden Towner adding one goal.
