Stermole's 20 Saves Carry Haverling Past Mynderse-Romulus

HAVERLING-6 at MYNDERSE-ROMULUS-5 - Haverling edged Mynderse-Romulus 6-5 Tuesday evening in a non-league game, moving to 3-6. The game was tied three times and was decided by a one-goal margin in each of the final two quarters. A standout performance in goal by senior McLane Stermole, who made 20 saves on 25 shots (80%), was central to the win.

Junior Noah Schneider led Haverling with three goals, while sophomore Caden Fairbrother added one goal and one assist. Warren McCormick and Mason Rooks each scored a goal. Senior Zach Colegrove distributed four assists without scoring. Freshman Mason Calkins went eight for 14 on faceoffs.

For Mynderse-Romulus, junior Hunter Kurdziolek scored two goals, and Drake Filyaw, Ethan Olmstead and John Hample each added one. Filyaw also recorded his first career varsity assist, with Owen Levis and Trace Parish each chipping in an assist as well. Mynderse-Romulus falls to 2-5.

Mynderse-Romulus hosts Bloomfield-Honeoye on Thursday evening. Haverling travels to Aquinas on Wednesday, May 6th.
