Joyce, Banister Each Score Three as Penfield Extends Streak to Eight

CANANDAIGUA-9 at PENFIELD-14 - Penfield beat Canandaigua 14-9 Friday evening in a non-league game, extending its winning streak to eight and moving to 10-3. The game was tied three times before Penfield scored four straight to take control. Canandaigua falls to 5-7.

Senior Brodie Joyce led Penfield with three goals and three assists, while junior Griffin Banister added three goals and an assist. Junior Harrison Easton contributed two goals and an assist, and Manny Castro chipped in two goals. Jake Maurer, Tyler Pavone, AJ Theodorakakos and Ronan Boyle each added one goal. In goal, senior Mason Schembri made 13 saves on 22 shots (59%) over 48 minutes.

For Canandaigua, junior Kyle Farrington led with three goals, while AJ Sterman added two goals and an assist. Patrick Olvany, Ryan McKeegan, Zach Hoffman and Marshall Bolster each scored one goal, with Bolster adding an assist. Junior Peyton Fritz went 13 for 26 on faceoffs.

Penfield travels to Hilton on Tuesday evening, May 5th. Canandaigua hosts Churchville-Chili on Tuesday evening, May 5th.
