Haverling Rallies from Six Down

HAVERLING-10 at EAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE-9  - Haverling rallied from a five-goal first quarter deficit Monday night to edge East United-Eastridge 10-9 in a non-league game, outscoring the home team nine to three over the final three quarters. Freshman Mason Calkins controlled the faceoff circle, winning 15 of 23 draws (65%).

For Haverling (6-7), senior Warren McCormick led with four goals, while freshman Mason Rooks added three goals and an assist. Senior Drew Spears contributed a goal and three assists, and junior Noah Schneider chipped in two goals and an assist. Senior goalie McLane Stermole was outstanding in net, turning aside 21 shots for a 70% efficiency rate.

For East United-Eastridge (5-9), junior Brien Walker and junior Chancellor Williams each scored three goals, with Walker adding two assists and Williams one. Junior John Hart contributed two goals and an assist. Junior Payton Terrigino added a goal, and junior Taye Brown picked up the first varsity assist of his career. Goalie Antonio Dixon made four saves in 24 minutes at 50%.
