What started as a way to give local programs and players some well-deserved attention has grown into the site fans, coaches, and players themselves check first for scores, stats, and stories.
The numbers reflect that long run: nearly 10,000 individual player pages, giving generations of Section V athletes a permanent, searchable record of their careers, and over 4,200 stories published, covering everything from regular-season recaps to sectional title runs. Last season alone the site saw more than 1,000,000 visits from more than 68,000 unique visitors — numbers that place it among the most-read independent sports coverage in the region, boys' or girls'.
The redesign focuses on the experience readers and players actually use most: a modernized, mobile-first layout built for fans checking scores and stats from the sideline, streamlined player profiles that make it easier to browse a career's worth of stats and stories in one place, faster navigation between team pages, standings, and a story archive that now spans thousands of games, and a refreshed visual identity that carries the same BLaxFive spirit into a cleaner, more current design.
Twenty-five years after its launch, BLaxFive.NET isn't slowing down. The new design is meant to carry the site into its next chapter of covering Section V boys lacrosse, one player page and one story at a time.
