Churchville-Chili sophomore attackman, Corey Yunker, recently announced his commitment to attend and play lacrosse at SUNY Albany after his graduation in 2018.

As a freshman on the Varsity last year he set a school record for scoring percentage when he scored on sixty-one percent of his shots (22g-14a).

Last summer he played on the Brine National Upstate 2018 team and was selected to play in their all-star game. He also played on the Empire State Cup Western team. He has played with the Blaze Lacrosse Club for the last two years and has worked with Grant Catalino from Harvest Lacrosse for the last three years.

Before choosing Albany he considered Binghamton, Siena, and Stony Brook.

Albany has recruited many Section Five alumni. The roster currently includes Tyler Acock (Pittsford), James Burdette (Penn Yan), Joe Eddinger (Canandaigua), John Maloney (Victor), Blaze Riorden (Fairport), Mitch Rupp (Victor) and Connor Russell (Penfield).
