With regret, Avon Athletic Director Andy Englert announced that the Avon Braves have cancelled the rest of their season, due to lack of available players. The team, which started with fifteen players, had a number of injuries and other issues that took the number of available players to less than ten.

Under Federation rules, teams can play with less than ten players but must start the game with ten. Avon did not sponsor a Junior Varsity team this year, so they were unable to bring up players.

Let us hope that they can return again soon.
