Wednesday Roundup: Pittsford Survives, Milestones Abound

April 29, 2026 - DAY IN REVIEW: WEDNESDAY - The day's biggest story was Pittsford's last-second 13-12 win over Victor, with Grant Lewis scoring with eight seconds left to keep the Sutherlands perfect at 11-0, a game that also featured Cole Goetz's 50th career assist, Eli Ricci's 50th career goal and Bear Wehrheim's 200th career save. Elsewhere, Grady Goodberlet reached 200 career goals with a six-goal night in HF-L's 16-0 win over Gates Chili, Irondequoit's Colin Landrigan reached 100 career saves in a 14-3 win over Churchville-Chili that also saw Matt Long and TJ Mayer score their first career varsity goals, and Brighton's Tim Tourangeau reached 50 career assists in a 15-2 win over Schroeder while Schroeder's Van Bolton hit 300 career saves.

Thomas edged Spencerport 13-11 with four goals each from Lucas Estelle and Charlie Repman, Penfield extended its winning streak to seven with a 14-2 win over Rush-Henrietta behind Will Taddeo's perfect 14-for-14 faceoff performance and first career goal, Hilton stayed hot at 10-1 with a 13-5 win over Fairport, Canandaigua beat Brockport 14-2, and East United earned its first-ever Class A win over Greece Storm 8-5.

HILTON-13 at FAIRPORT-5 - Tyler Reger and Drew Brien each scored three goals as Hilton beat Fairport 13-5 Wednesday evening to extend its winning streak to eight, while both Lucas Grizzanti of Hilton and Ryan Knapp of Fairport each reached 100 career faceoff wins.   [ Story and BOX SCORE]

VICTOR-12 at PITTSFORD-13  - Pittsford edged Victor 13-12 Wednesday evening in a Monroe County D-2 game, keeping its perfect record intact at 11-0. The game was tied four times and featured five lead changes in the fourth quarter alone. Victor led 11-8 with under five minutes to play before Pittsford scored three goals in 88 seconds, then survived a Victor response to win on Grant Lewis' goal with eight seconds left.

The night also featured three career milestones: Cole Goetz reached his 50th career assist, Victor's Eli Ricci reached his 50th career goal, and freshman goalie Bear Wehrheim reached 200 career saves. Luke Jutzin and Trevor Nally each scored four goals for Pittsford, and Grant Lewis added three goals and three assists.

Jahyden Maiorani contributed one goal and two assists, and Cole Goetz distributed two assists. In goal, Wehrheim made eight saves on 20 shots over 48 minutes.

Victor's Eli Ricci scored seven goals and added an assist, going 17 for 28 on faceoffs as well. Jackson Mead added four goals and an assist, and Colin Wheeler scored the other goal. CANANDAIGUA-14 at BROCKPORT-2  - AJ Sterman, Landon Mortier and Ryan McKeegan each scored three goals as Canandaigua beat Brockport 14-2 Wednesday evening, with junior defenseman Ronan Hitchcock scoring his first career varsity goal and Brockport's Conner Morse recording his first career varsity assist.    [ Story and BOX SCORE] 

EAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE-8 at GREECE STORM-5  - East United-Eastridge beat Greece Storm 8-5 Wednesday evening in a Monroe County D-1 game, moving to 2-6 and earning its first-ever Class A win. Greece Storm falls to 1-11. East United trailed 4-1 after the first quarter before outscoring the Storm seven to one over the final three periods.

Junior Payton Terrigino led East United with three goals, while junior Chancellor Williams added two goals and an assist. Junior John Hart contributed one goal and one assist, and Sebastian Clark and Ethan Flannery each added a goal. In goal, sophomore Xzavier Madrigal made five saves on six shots (83%) over 24 minutes in the second half.

For Greece Storm, five different players scored — Eric Odell, James Maccallini, Logan Cubiotti, Aaron Johnson and Raymond Auringer each with one goal, with Odell adding an assist. RUSH-HENRIETTA-2 at PENFIELD-14  - Griffin Banister scored four goals, Will Taddeo went a perfect 14 for 14 on faceoffs and scored his first career varsity goal, and nine different players found the net as Penfield beat Rush-Henrietta 14-2 Wednesday evening to extend its winning streak to seven.    [ Story and BOX SCORE] 

THOMAS-13 at SPENCERPORT-11  - Thomas beat Spencerport 13-11 Wednesday evening in a Monroe County D-2 game, moving to 7-5. Thomas jumped out to a 9-3 lead at halftime before Spencerport cut the deficit to one with three straight goals in the third quarter. Thomas scored twice in the fourth to hold on, with Lucas Estelle's goal at 3:19 providing the final margin after Spencerport scored twice to make it 12-11.

Sophomore Lucas Estelle and senior Charlie Repman each scored four goals for Thomas, with Estelle adding an assist. Jake Nicolay and Lucas Nuccotelli each added two goals, and Jonah Jobson chipped in a goal and an assist. Blake Jipson, Logan Muisus and Carter Chase each contributed an assist.
