Banister, Taddeo Shine as Penfield Wins

2026-04-29 - RUSH-HENRIETTA-2 at PENFIELD-14  - Penfield beat Rush-Henrietta 14-2 Wednesday evening in a Monroe County D-1 game, extending its winning streak to seven and moving to 9-3. Nine different players scored for Penfield, and sophomore Will Taddeo had a standout night, going a perfect 14 for 14 on faceoffs, picking up seven ground balls and scoring his first career varsity goal. No stats were available for Rush-Henrietta at post-time.

Junior Griffin Banister led Penfield with four goals and an assist, while senior Brodie Joyce added three goals and an assist. Junior Jake Maurer contributed one goal and one assist, and Manny Castro added one goal and one assist. Ewan McCormick, Tyler Pavone, Taddeo, Jace Wilkins and Jacob Buckpitt each scored one goal. In goal, senior Mason Schembri was perfect with three saves on three shots (100%) over 34 minutes.

Penfield hosts Canandaigua on Friday evening. Rush-Henrietta hosts Churchville-Chili on Friday evening.
