Other winners included Hilton, Rush-Henrietta, Pittsford (9-8 over Thomas), and HFL. MONDAY - In a Non-League game. Haverling opened its Looking AheadJust aas the new season begins, it's vacation time but there are still twenty-nine games on the schedule. On Monday Penn Yan will host Homer, while Fairport travels to Orchard Park and Canisius visits Rush-Henrietta. On Tuesday features ten games and among the interesting ones is Pittsford at Irondequoit, Haverling at East United-Eastridge, Wayne at HFL, and On Wednesday sees JD at Canandaigua, the Rams and Batavia Notre Dame and Williamsville East at Churchville-Chili. On Thursday Pittsford takes the bus to West Genesee, McQuaid Jesuit is at Brighton, Irondequoit is at Fairport and Thomas is at Penn Yan although the weather reports are calling for rain all day. On Friday there are no games scheduled. On Saturday the week ends with games like Pittsford at Canandaigua, Shenendehowa at Penn Yan, and Schroeder at Wayne. Irondequoit edged Schroeder 12-11 in a fourth-quarter thriller, Geneva SCHROEDER-11 at IRONDEQUOIT-12 - Irondequoit opened its Monroe County D-2 season with a 12-11 win over Schroeder on Thursday, pulling away with a 4-3 fourth quarter after the teams were tied at six at halftime and Schroeder held a one-goal lead after three. Sophomore Kieran Stenzel and senior Cooper Moore each scored four goals for the Eagles, with Dylan Carey adding three assists, while Schroeder's sophomore Kai RUSH-HENRIETTA-4 at BRIGHTON-17 - Brighton opened its season with a 17-4 non-league win over Rush-Henrietta, getting contributions from eight different scorers led by sophomore Austin Flaum (four goals, three assists), junior Quinn Huefner (three goals, first varsity goal), and seventh grader Red Wolk, who scored two goals and one assist for his first varsity goal and first varsity assist.
