The game was tied four times and featured five lead changes in the fourth quarter alone. Victor led 11-8 with under five minutes to play before Pittsford scored three goals in 88 seconds, then survived a Victor response to win on Grant Lewis' goal with eight seconds left.

Thomas jumped out to a 9-3 lead at halftime before Spencerport cut the deficit to one with three straight goals in the third quarter. Thomas scored twice in the fourth to hold on, with Lucas Estelle's goal at 3:19 providing the final margin after Spencerport scored twice to make it 12-11.

Sophomore Lucas Estelle and senior Charlie Repman each scored four goals for Thomas, with Estelle adding an assist. Rush-Henrietta's Zachary Winner also reached 50 career goals in a 16-6 win over Aquinas, while Penn Yan's Miles Ditzell led all scorers on the day with five goals in a 16-5 win over Ithaca.
