Will DiMarco driving from behind and then feeding to Harding gave the Knights another goal and a three point lead at 9:36. After that, the next three goals were from the Dalers. Cuinn Sunde received the ball on the crease from O`Keefe at 7:49 and less than minute later O~Keefe scored on a sweep. Farmingdale scored after picking the ball up in front of the crease to tie the game at 7-7. Both teams had an opportunity to score in regulation, but with saves by both Gordon and James Caputo, the teams remained tied, forcing overtime.
After three minutes of transition and a couple of saves at both ends of the field, South Side scored an amazing five unanswered goals in the span of five minutes to take their first lead of the game. Michael Aiello (3g-2a) and Lynch both scored unassisted goals, followed by a pair from Liam Livingston (2g-2a) and final goal from Cole DiPietro (2g-1a) who received a clearing pass after coming through the substitution area. The Cyclones were up 10-9, but at the 2:50 mark, long stick middie Matt Langan scored on a cross field pass from Clinkscales and less than a minute later Jackson Mead (1g-1a) scored on a pass from Herendeen to tie and then give Victor the lead with 1:30 left in regulation. In yet another amazing play, Aiello circled the back of the cage and with less than one second left on the clock he shot while falling down and put the ball in the upper corner for the 11-11 tie and overtime. On the first possession DiPietro scored the game winner.
MARCELLUS-15 at AQUINAS-8 - In the first game of the day at SUNY Cortland, Aquinas (16-6) played a very skilled Marcellus (Section III) team and lost 15-8. The Mustangs took a 4-1 lead in the first quarter and led 6-3 at the half, but the second half belonged to Marcellus as they scored nine second half goals while hold Aquinas to five. Sophomore midfielder Nick Rayfields owned the day, scoring seven goals and three assists for the 19-1 Mustangs who will move on to the finals where they will play Cold Spring Harbor, who defeated them in the finals last year. JD-22 at HFL-7 - The game started out closely with JD taking a 4-3 first quarter lead, but then they exploded, scoring seven in the second, five in the third and six in the fourth quarters while holding the Cougars to four. Senior A/M Samuel Brazell led the Rams offense with (8g-3a). Scoring for HFL (19-3) were Marco Vengoechea (3g), Quinn Kailbourne (1g-1a), Owen Smith (1g), Patrick Donahoe (1g), Chase Perryman (1g-1a), and Drew Angelo (1a). have been to the Finals three times in program history (including last year's 9-5 loss vs. Pittsford), but this was their first time taking home the Title. The game was a defensive battle with McQuaid Jesuit winning 6-4 over Penfield. Penfield sophomore goalie Mason Schembri and McQuaid Jesuit senior goalie Will Gordon were both named to the All-Tournament team. Schembri finished with 10 saves and Gordon finished with 7 saves. Offensively, Adam Schembri (2g-1a) led for the Patriots and John Harding (2a) led for the Knights. Both were named to the All-Tournament team with Harding being named the Class A MVP.
The game started off with Penfield scoring back-to-back goals. Schembri assisted the first goal with Christian Brown (1g-1a) scoring. Three minutes later, he scored the goal with an outside shot that found the back of the net. McQuaid Jesuit responded with two of their own to the tie the game at 2-2. The first was scored by JP Gianforti and the second by Will DiMarco. DiMarco scored his goal after scooping up the ball on the crease and finished into the back of the net. The Patriots added one more goal before the end of the quarter. Ethan Aust scored with a feed from Zach Shores. The Patriots led 3-2 after twelve minutes.
In the second quarter, Penfield scored the only goal. Schembri scored with an assist from Brown; Brown fed the ball into a tight crease and Schembri was able to score with an underhand shot. Penfield extended their lead to 4-2 going into halftime.
Giangreco, a sophomore, finished the game with 1g; however, he was demonstrative in getting the Knights the ball during the face-off draw. McQuaid Jesuit led 5-4 after three quarters. The lone goal of the fourth quarter was scored with a drive along the top of the restraining line by Vincenzo Giangreco. McQuaid Jesuit will move on to the NY State Tournament this weekend.

McQuaid scored the first two goals as AJ Quagrello scored on passes from Jon Harding and Liam Palmer. Senior attackman Caden Lennon who is headed to Bryant next year scored for the Dalers and the first quarter ended at 2-1. Star attackman, Brendan O`Keefe (Albany) had a big second quarter, scoring two unassisted goals and assisting on another. As the score went back and forth, McQuaid saw two goals from Vincenzo Giangreco (one with an assist from John Harding). The half ended in a 4-4 tie. The Third quarter saw two unanswered goals from McQuaid, the first by Eoin Meyer from Harding on a feed to the crease, and the second on a bull dodge by JP Gianforti. After three quarters McQuaid led 6-4.
After shots by O`Keefe (one wide and one big save by Gordon), McQuaid moved the ball down field and with 0:27 left in overtime, sophomore face off midfielder Domenic Giangreco scored the game-winner to give the Knights their first State Championship.
