Livonia‑Avon‑Geneseo enters the 2026 season looking to build on the lessons of a 6–11 campaign in 2025. The team experienced a mix of results, with four wins by more than five goals and six games decided within five.

Livonia-Avon-Geneseo won against Newark with a 17-3 score in their FL-D1 league game. Henry Walters led with five goals and an assist, while goalie Colton Rose had 12 saves and a 80% save rate. Newark’s Sam Underhill scored all three of his team’s goals. The third quarter saw Livonia-Avon-Geneseo pull away, scoring eight times. Freshman Connor Duryea celebrated his first varsity goal in the match. Next, Livonia-Avon-Geneseo hosts Midlakes, and Newark faces Gates Chili.

Livonia-Avon-Geneseo defeated Brockport 11-1 in a lacrosse match today. Freshman Rider VanZandt won eleven face-offs with a 73 percent success rate, while senior goalie Colton Rose saved ten shots with one goal allowed, achieving a 91 percent save rate. Nikolai Hanna and Max McEnerney led scoring with three goals each, supported by teammates Will Schweitzer, Rider VanZandt, Henry Walters, and Joey Cinquino. Brockport`s lone goal came in the second quarter. Livonia-Avon-Geneseo prepares for their next game against Greece Storm.

DAY IN REVIEW: WEDNESDAY - In today’s lacrosse matchups, Pittsford continued its dominance with a 16-10 victory, fueled by standout performances from Grant Lewis, Max Morgenstern, and goalie Bear Wehrheim.

HFL secured a decisive 20-5 victory in Livonia over Livonia-Avon-Geneseo in a non-league lacrosse game. Grady Goodberlet achieved his 100th career goal, leading HFL with seven goals and two assists. Max McEnerney scored four goals for Livonia-Avon-Geneseo, while goalie Jason Bennett led HFL's defense with a 71% save rate.

As the Livonia-Avon Lakers prepare for their 2025 season in Class C, they look to build upon a solid 2024 campaign where they achieved a 10-8 record. Despite losing four key seniors-Colin Ellsworth, Ryan Matzek, A.J. Peri, and Owen Weterrings-who contributed significantly on both ends of the field, the Lakers are eager to showcase their returning talent under the guidance of head coach Mark Rumfola.

DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - There were 7 games played today and all of them were won by the high seeded teams except for one. In Class C, Livonia-Avon, HFL, and Geneva will join Pal-Mac who had a bye in the quarters. In Class D, Aquinas, Marcus Whitman, Penn Yan and Mynderse won their games. Marcus Whitman (#5) defeated Bloomfield-Honeoye (#4) 10-6.

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were thirteen games played mostly in rain today as the regular season starts to unwind and three were close ones. Penfield was a 9-7 winner over Brighton. Hilton defeated Aquinas by a score of 9-7. Canandaigua defeated Pittsford by a score of 7-5. Pal-Mac defeated Gananda to give the Red Raiders a perfect regular season at 16-0.

DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - There were thirteen games played today and three were close ones. Newark defeated Brockport by a score of 11-10. Pal-Mac was a 6-4 winner over Williamsville East. Fayetteville-Manlius was a 11-10 winner over McQuaid Jesuit.

Canandaigua was a 7-5 winner over Penn Yan. Dryden was a 6-5 winner over Marcus Whitman. Spencerport was a 8-7 winner over Pittsford. 

DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - There were 12 games played today and a couple were close ones. Newark was a 7-6 winner over Midlakes-Red Jacket. Irondequoit defeated Pittsford by a score of 7-6. Hilton and Thomas played a close game until the last quarter when the Cadets took off. CA was a 10-6 winner over Penfield and Marcus Whitman was a 10-7 winner over Gananda.

DAY IN REVIEW: WEDNESDAY - There was only one game played today and Aquinas was the winner.

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were fourteen games played and it was the last game of the regular season for some teams. The Blue Panthers held off a fourth quarter surge by the Pride and held on for the 13-12 win. Aquinas, likewise held off a last quarter surge by the Lakers, winning 12-10 and locking up the GRALL title. Thomas won the battle at Webster and Penn Yan had a shutout against Clarence.

DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - It took overtime after seven ties for the Rangers to beat McQuaid Jesuit 10-9. Brighton scored first and never looked back as they beat Aquinas 11-8. An unmatched goal in the fourth quarter was one goal less than the Saints needed as Livonia-Avon won 8-7. Penn Yan has an overtime loss against a strong Lake Shore team from Buffalo and Schroeder held the Hawks scoreless in three quarters for their 5-3 win in Corning.

DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - Both Fairport and Penfield won their games by one goal. Mynderse defeated the Pride 9-6 and the rest were mismatches. Hilton (8-6) defeated HFL (10-3) with a score of 15-8 and Wayne defeated Pal-Mac 13-12.

DAY IN REVIEW: WEDNESDAY - Livonia-Avon won a shutout against visiting Bishop Kearney and Midlakes-Red Jacket defeated Batavia-Notre Dame.

DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - In a very close game throughout, Thomas was a one goal winner over visiting Irondequoit. Pittsford had a close win over Spencerport, Victor had a close win at Brighton and Pal-Mac defeated Geneva 8-6.

DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were a number of exciting games played in light rain or drizzle, starting with an overtime win by Victor at Pittsford. The Blue Devils scored the last five goals of the game. Irondequoit had a big 12-10 win over visiting HF-L and the Storm had a 5-4 overtime win over visiting Livonia-Avon.

Tuesday: DAY IN REVIEW: Long-time Penfield coach, John Schembri won his 150th game today at the Patriots defeated Churchville-Chili 15-4. Hilton used overtime to beat Thomas with a goal by senior attackman Nicholas Fede. McQuaid won their first series game against Rush-Henrietta. At Pittsford, the Panthers held off late advances by St Joseph and took the 8-7 win. Other winners were HF-L, Schroeder and Brockport who gave their Head Coaches a first win, East-United-Eastridge, Livonia-Avon and Spencerport.
