DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - Saturday's action was defined by career milestones, with Newark's Sam Underhill posting nine goals to reach 200 for his career, Irondequoit's Cooper Moore also hitting 200, and Penn Yan's Braden Fingar reaching 150. Pittsford's Peter Roussell reached exactly 300 career faceoff wins, Schroeder earned its first win of the season behind first varsity goals from Rory Champlin and Casey Pagano, and Greece Storm's Eric Odell went 25-for-26 at the faceoff dot in the Storm's first win of the year.

PITTSFORD-14 at CANANDAIGUA-5 - Pittsford stayed unbeaten Greece at Newarkwith a 14-5 non-league win at Canandaigua on Saturday afternoon, rallying from a 3-2 first-quarter deficit with runs of five and eight straight goals to pull away. The Panthers improve to 5-0 while Canandaigua falls to 0-3.

For Pittsford (5-0), junior Grant Lewis led with five goals, while senior Avery Valenti added three goals and two assists and junior Trevor Nally contributed three goals. Junior Cole Goetz added one goal and three assists, and freshman Griffin Goetz and Ben Zombek each chipped in one goal. Griffin Goetz scored his first varsity goal and junior Madin Larose recorded his first varsity assist. Senior Peter Roussell reached 300 career faceoff wins, adding one win on the day to reach the milestone exactly. Freshman Keegan Jacob went 13-for-17 at the faceoff dot (76%), and freshman Bear Wehrheim stopped 11 shots for a 73% save percentage in 44 minutes.

For Canandaigua (0-3), five players scored goals, with junior Kyle Farrington and junior Jake Kingston each scoring their first varsity goal. GREECE STORM-18 at NEWARK-10 - Greece Storm picked up its first win of the season with an 18-10 non-league victory at home on Saturday, with Eric Odell going 25-for-26 at the faceoff X to fuel the offense. The loss was notable for Newark's Sam Underhill, who reached 200 career varsity goals despite his team falling to 0-2.

For Greece Storm (1-3), senior James Maccallini led with seven goals and three assists, Greece at Newarkwhile senior Eric Odell added five goals and went a near-perfect 25-for-26 at the faceoff dot (96%). Senior Mitchell Barnes and senior John Oherron each added two goals, with Oherron scoring his first varsity goal. Evan Baldwin and Aaron Johnson each contributed one goal. Sophomore Michael Atseff III ran the offense with six assists. Three players picked up their first varsity assists: sophomore Brayden Kabes, freshman defenseman Jason Bihrle, and junior Jordan Bock.

For Newark (0-2), senior Sam Underhill reached 200 career varsity goals with a nine-goal performance, pushing his total to 201. Junior Nazeer Garicia scored his first varsity goal and added an assist. IRONDEQUOIT-12 at BALDWINSVILLE-15 - Baldwinsville handed Irondequoit its second loss of the season 15-12 on Saturday, with Irondequoit holding an 8-7 lead after three quarters before Baldwinsville outscored the Eagles 7-2 in the fourth. Senior Cooper Moore reached 200 career varsity goals during the game, finishing with two goals to hit the milestone exactly.

For Irondequoit (3-2), sophomore Kieran Stenzel and senior Colin Giudice each led with three goals, with Giudice adding one assist. Senior Dylan Carey and senior Riley Grisdale each Greece at Newarkcontributed two goals and two assists, and Moore added two goals to reach his career milestone. Sam Thore contributed eight ground balls, four takes, and three faceoff wins.

SHENENDEHOWA-7 at PENN YAN-11 - Penn Yan picked up an Pittsford at Canandaigua11-7 non-league win over Shenendehowa on Saturday morning at Herkimer County Community College, building a 6-3 halftime lead and outscoring the Plainsmen 5-4 over the final two quarters. The win gives Penn Yan a 2-0 all-time record against Shenendehowa.

For Penn Yan (2-1), senior Tukker Fisher led with two goals and two assists, while junior Miles Ditzell added two goals and one assist and sophomore Greyson Hathway chipped in two goals. Junior Mike Gigliotti also added two goals. Senior Braden Fingar contributed one goal and one assist, reaching 150 career varsity goals in the process. SCHROEDER-14 at WAYNE-1 - Schroeder picked up its first win of the season with a 14-1 non-league victory at Wayne on Saturday morning, scoring two goals in the first quarter and pulling away with four more in the second. The win extends Schroeder's all-time record against Wayne to a perfect six-for-six since 2017.

For Pittsford at CanandaiguaSchroeder (1-4), junior John Caricati led with four goals and went 16-for-18 at the faceoff dot (89%), while junior JD Stockmann added three goals and one assist. Senior Matt Schilling contributed two goals and two assists, and juniors Rory Champlin and Casey Pagano each added two goals, with both scoring their first varsity goals. Sophomore Kai Nelson chipped in one goal and two assists. Junior Brady Mason picked up four assists and senior Ethan Anderson added two assists, with both recording their first varsity assists. Junior Van Bolton stopped three shots for a 75% save percentage in goal.
