Canisius rallied from a 6-1 first-quarter deficit to edge Rush-Henrietta 10-9 in what was the day's closest finish.

FAIRPORT-6 at ORCHARD PARK-13 - Orchard Park topped Fairport 13-6 Monday night in a non-league game, building a 5-2 first-quarter lead and outscoring the Red Raiders 8-4 the rest of the way. Fairport falls to 0-2 on the young season.

For Fairport (0-2), sophomore midfielder Marco Provenzano led with two goals, while senior attackman Jack Gosiewski and freshman midfielder CJ Trumble each added a goal and an assist. Senior attackman Ryan Priddy and senior faceoff midfielder Corey Roeser each chipped in a goal. Three players earned their first varsity points: Provenzano scored his first varsity goal, and both Trumble and sophomore attackman Grant Ralston recorded their first varsity assists. Roeser went eight-for-11 at the faceoff dot (73%), and junior Cameron Miller added a perfect one-for-one showing. For Penn Yan (1-0), senior midfielder Braden Fingar led with five goals and three assists, while junior attackman Miles Ditzell added four goals and one assist and junior midfielder Mike Gigliotti contributed three goals. Freshman attackman Logan Sprague scored his first varsity goal and picked up his first varsity assist in the same game. Sophomore Greyson Hathway went 13-for-13 at the faceoff dot (100%), and junior Ti'Jai Moorer added five wins in seven attempts (71%).
