After the teams traded one goal apiece in the first, the Saints outscored Wayne four to two in the second to build a lead they would not give up. Wayne kept it within reach through the final two quarters but could not close the gap, as Churchville-Chili extended its series edge to three wins against two for Wayne.

Senior Cooper Lass led Churchville-Chili (1-2) with four goals, putting ten shots on net. Isaac Bailey added two goals and one assist while winning 11 of 18 face-offs for a 61% rate. Jaxon Leonard contributed two goals, Jack Sloan added one goal and two assists, and sophomore Patrick Callahan picked up two assists. David Donaghue added one goal.
