Bloomfield-Honeoye won their game with Brayden Arber recording his 100th career point, Churchville-Chili topped Wayne 10-7 with Cooper Lass leading the way with four goals, and Pittsford used a fast start, including three goals in under two minutes, to pull away from Hilton 15-7. Brighton opened its season with a win over Rush-Henrietta highlighted by seventh grader Red Wolk's first varsity goal and assist, while Victor held off Penfield 11-8 with Eli Ricci's five goals and 73% face-off rate powering the comeback win.

SCHROEDER-11 at IRONDEQUOIT-12 - Irondequoit opened its Monroe County D-2 season with a 12-11 win over Schroeder on Thursday, pulling away with a 4-3 fourth quarter after the teams were tied at six at halftime and Schroeder held a one-goal lead after three. Sophomore Kieran Stenzel and senior Cooper Moore each scored four goals for the Eagles, with Dylan Carey adding three assists, while Schroeder's sophomore Kai P{enfield at VictorNelson, recording his first varsity goal and assist, and junior JD Stockmann (one goal, three assists) led the Warriors' offense. RUSH-HENRIETTA-4 at BRIGHTON-17 -  Brighton opened its season with a 17-4 non-league win over Rush-Henrietta, getting contributions from eight different scorers led by sophomore Austin Flaum (four goals, three assists), junior Quinn Huefner (three goals, first varsity goal), and seventh grader Red Wolk, who scored two goals and one assist for his first varsity goal and first varsity assist. Senior Gavin Hayslip controlled the face-off X at 88%, and the win gives Brighton the series lead for the first time at eight wins against seven for Rush-Henrietta dating back to 2003. Senior A/M Jett Richardsen scored the overtime, game-winning goal for the Royal Comets in this game that could not have been closer with eight ties.
